Captain Will came to St. Thomas after receiving a phone call from his girlfriend, Amanda, in 2017 while she was on a cruise. He was working commercial electric on a high-rise building in St. Petersburg, FL, at the time when she told him, "We're doing life wrong. I'm moving to St. Thomas, but it'd be a lot more fun with you."
Born in Atlanta, GA, he fell in love with sailing after his first Hobie Cat experience at the age of four. At the age of six, he mowed enough lawns and was able to buy his first sailboat! He started racing at 7-years-old, and from then on his life has been about boats. Later in life, he'd receive a sailing scholarship to Eckerd College, then join the US Coast Guard. He currently holds a 50 Ton Master License.
After the Coast Guard, he started a nonprofit and worked with the VA to help reintegrate Veterans back into society through sailing in St. Petersburg, FL.
Since moving to St. Thomas, Will's hobbies include sailing, snorkeling, off-roading, hiking, and teaching sailing to others.
